Board Considering Candidates for Role of Township Manager
The township received the resignation of former Township Manager Richard Mellor in December.
While the Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners are considering candidates to replace Richard Mellor as Township Manager, two people have been asked to manage the day-to-day tasks in an acting role. Assistant Township Manager Christopher Hoffman and Police Chief Pete Hasson will fill the void of township manager on an interim basis with the "management functions of the Township. Former Township Manager Richard Mellor submitted his formal resignation to the Board in December. Commissioner Robert Demartinis said Hoffman will handle the administrative tasks of township business and will remain the assistant manager in the interim, but will become Secretary of the Township authorized to sign official documents.
