Police Log: Juvenile Driver Crashes, Missing Diamond Ring, Theft

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

March 27 – Theft David Wedell, 53, of Huntingdon Valley, reported that an unknown actor(s) entered three of his cars sometime overnight. Wedell returned home at midnight and discovered that someone had rifled through the glove compartments of the unlocked cars. The only item determined to be missing was an iPod Nano ($120). March 23 – Traffic Enforcement – Underage Driving LMPD received a call for suspicious activity involving a gold SUV that was operating on a flat tire. It was reported that the occupants in the car jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the woods in the area of Levy Lane towards County Line Road. Woman Admits to Stealing over $150K from Family at Lower Moreland Business

Juliett Barzilayeva pleaded guilty this week to embezzling funds from her cousin's company in LM.

A woman who worked as a bookkeeper for her cousin’s company in Lower Moreland admitted that she stole over $154,000 from the business. Juliett Barzilayeva, 60, of the 1600 block of Welsh Rd., pleaded guilty yesterday to the crimes that took place between January 2008 and December 2009. She faces a felony charge of theft by unlawful taking and faces a maximum sentence of 3 ½ to seven years in prison. Sentencing was put off until June so there could be an in-depth background check of Barzilayeva. Back in March of 2010, the owner of the business, Otak Kosashvili, 50, reported to LMPD that he suspected his cousin of stealing at least $110,000 from his company over a two-year period. Court Date Set for Tasered Man in Lower Moreland

Orlando Fioravanti faces a long list of charges after an incident that occurred on March 14 at St. Albert's Circle in Huntingdon Valley.

On Thursday, March 22, 'God' will be at the mercy of Magisterial District Judge Jay Friedenberg. That's when the Warminster man, who caused an unusual scene in Lower Moreland last week and claimed to be the Almighty One, will have his court hearing at 10 a.m. According to court documents, Orlando Fioravanti, 41, faces the following charges: Fioravanti broke down the front door of a Lower Moreland resident's home last week at St. Albert's Circle. When officers arrived on scene, Fioravanti told them that he was God and threatened to kill any officer if they touched him. LMPD was forced to use a taser on the man to take him into custody. He did not post the $5,000 bail that was set and remains in Montgomery County Prison.

Lower Moreland Police Use Taser on Man Claiming to be God

LMPD responded to St. Albert's Circle after a man broke through a resident's front door.

Orlando Fioravanti, 41, of Warminster, faces charges of burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief and making terroristic threats after an incident that occurred at St. Albert’s Circle in Huntingdon Valley on Wednesday, March 14. At 11:39 a.m., Lower Moreland Police Department responded to the scene after being told a man was acting very loud and boisterous and broke through a resident’s front door. Fioravanti continued to yell and scream once police showed up. He refused to listen or cooperate to any of its commands and began to say threatening remarks. After telling police, “I am God,” he then said, “If you touch me I will kill you.” LMPD then used a taser on the Warminster man to arrest him, and then he was taken to Abington Hospital for …

Police Log: Heroin User Gets DUI, Synthetic Pot Found, and More

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

January 26 – DUI James Patrick, Jr., 51, of Huntingdon Valley, was arrested for DUI after officers observed his car had an expired registration. Patrick pulled into his driveway and LMPD issued a stop. Patrick began to stagger out of his car when police questioned him. Patrick said he had three or four beers before driving. He also admitted to being charged with a DUI two years ago. Miller failed field sobriety tests and registered a .20% BAC. January 26 – DUI Yuri Miller, 60, was arrested for DUI after police responded to an accident where his car drifted from the right side of the street to the left side and skipped over the curb. Police Log: Forced Entry Burglary, Multiple DUI's, Horseplay at Oh! Bryon's

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

January 17 – Burglary – Forced Entry Anna Abgaryan, 28, of Huntingdon Valley, called LMPD after she discovered her rear sliding glass door had been standing open and her dining room window was partially open. Abgaryan saw her flat screen TV had been removed from the wall mount. Police did a check of the house but yielded negative results. They were unable to get fingerprints from the door. According to reports, the incident was believed to  happen days ago because the areas of entry were muddy because of the rain but had no fresh footprints. January 15 – Disorderly Conduct Antonio Gallelli, 25, of Philadelphia, will be charged with Disorderly Conduct after discharging a fire extinguisher on the second level of Oh! Bryon’s Roast Beef. …

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

May 17 – Disorderly Conduct Wallace Gordon, 24, of Bristol, was cited for disorderly conduct after he was caught speeding on Pine Rd at 10:24 a.m. He was driving with a suspended license and found to be in possession of a suspected marijuana blunt and a scale with suspected marijuana residue on it. May 17 – Fraud A resident of Albidale contacted police at 11:40 a.m. to report more than $900 worth of fraudulent withdrawals from her account, which all occurred in California. May 17 – DUI pending Denise Cummings, 54, of Jenkintown, has a driving under the influence charge pending against her after she rear-ended a vehicle on Valley Rd. at 8:41 p.m. Officers detected the smell of alcohol and she failed field sobriety tests. The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

April 26 - Fire A roof fire started around 2:05 p.m. when Huntingdon Valley, Bryn Athyn, Feasterville and Southampton fire companies responded to the 3800 block of Martin Rd. The fire, caused by a plumber’s torch to install a new roof, has made the home  uninhabitable and the owner is staying with friends. April 26  - Attempted burglary Two suspects were taken into custody but denied being involved with the attempted burglary and released, police said, adding that charges are pending a search warrant. A resident of the 3600 block of Heaton Road contacted police at 10:07 a.m. after she heard the doorbell ring several times but didn’t answer it, then heard breaking glass and saw a man who had broken a pane of glass just above the home’s …
