County Line Road Expected to Re-Open in 2 Weeks

County Line Road has been closed for almost two months due to construction.

Lower Moreland Commissioners announced that they expect County Line Road to re-open in about two weeks. The Bucks County Water Sewer Authority project has caused a detour in Lower Moreland closing the street between Huntingdon Pike and James Way. Motorists have had to work around the detour since the beginning of February. Local offcials gave the latest update on the project at the Board of Commissioners meeting this week. "I think within two weeks it will be open," the township said. "And then the second week in April they will start their trench restoration." Construction crews are currently milling out the trench area along the road and filling in the gaps. Construction under the PA Turnpike and the railroad has already been complete.  …

County Line Road Detoured Into Single Lane

Traffic delays are occurring on County Line Road Friday afternoon as construction crews are digging up dirt on the sidewalk.

If you are traveling on County Line Road between Huntingdon Pike and Bustleton Avenue, expect delays because part of the road has been detoured into a single lane. Traffic delays have been heaviest through the morning and are expected to continue through the early afternoon. Construction crews are laying straw down along the sidewalk and cranes are digging up dirt along the sidewalk to line other soft areas.

Dealing with the Detour on County Line Road

Motorists have been using James Way as a detour route since County Line Road has been closed.

The detour on County Line Road has been has been in effect for the last month, and construction is expected to continue into March. The Bucks County Water Sewer Authority project has a six-week estimated timeline and travelers have had to use the detour along James Way and Jaymour Roads. The traffic light acting as a stop sign has caused delays.

Part of County Line Road To Be Closed for Six Weeks

As roadwork continues from the Bucks County Water Sewer Authority project, motorists will have to find alternate routes on County Line Road.

Lower Moreland Township has announced that County Line Road will be closed between Huntingdon Pike and James Way for a significant amount of time. The Bucks County Water Sewer Authority project continues this week and the road closure is expected to last approximately six weeks. Only traffic and trucks related to businesses on County Line Road will be allowed through. The road will be open at night for a brief amount of time at the start of construction.

Alleged Suspect in Warminster Shooting in Custody

Jose Delgado faces several charges including discharging a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Police say a man who allegedly fired off several shots inside a County Line Road eatery Friday morning has turned himself in. NBC10 reports Jose Delgado, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered to Warminster Police last night. Delgado faces several charges including discharging a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. Warminster Police Chief Mike Murphy said Delgado, the former owner of MamaJuana’s Kitchen, entered the restaurant just after 10 a.m. Friday morning and fired four shots from a semi-automatic hand gun at the current owner before fleeing the area.  A preliminary hearing before Magisterial Justice …

Police: Shots Fired on County Line Road; Gunman at Large (UPDATED)

Police continue to search for a man with a handgun who allegedly shot four times along County Line Road in Warminster this morning.

Update Saturday, 1:32 p.m.: The former owner of MamaJuana's Kitchen turned himself in to Warminster Police Friday night. Update Friday, 1:04 p.m.: Police said a business dispute ended in shots being fired in a Warminster eatery Friday morning.  According to police, Jose Delgado, 33, the former owner of MamaJuana’s Kitchen, entered the business and fired four shots in the direction of the current owner just after 10 a.m. “By the grace of God, we don’t have multiple victims,” said Warminster Chief of Police Mike Murphy at a press conference at the township building following the incident. Man Stopped on County Line, Claims He's God, Needs to Save Human Race

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

[Editor's note: charges are pending for this incident after a chemical form was submitted]. On November 1, an officer from the Lower Moreland Police Department was responding to the 1400 block of County Line Road for an electrical fire caused by fallen power lines at Mann Road. County Line Road was closed shortly after and another Fire Police vehicle was approaching the scene for assistance. Behind that Fire Police car was a silver sedan weaving through stopped traffic that let the emergency vehicle pass. As the sedan approached the police officer, the officer told the driver, a male from Philadelphia, that the road was closed and he needed to find a different route. County Line Road to be Closed at Nights Through Jan. 2013

PennDOT announced County Line Road will be closed nightly between Huntingdon Pike and Pine Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority will close County Line Road between Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike/Second Street Pike) and Pine Road in Upper Southampton and Lower Southampton townships, Bucks County and Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County beginning Sunday (Oct. 21) for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. County Line Road will be closed Sunday through Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 31.
