Valley Youth Center, LM PTA Hosting Fundraiser at Philmont CC

The 6th Annual 'It's All About the Kids' Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The Valley Youth Center & the Lower Moreland PTA are having their 6th Annual It’s All About the Kids Fundraiser on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Philmont Country Club, 130 Tomlinson Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA to benefit the children in both of these 501 c 3 organizations.  Tickets are $45 per person until January 21 and includes a live band, REVERSE, an A Sharp Production. A delicious buffet will be served including: There will be a cash bar with great raffles as well. Casual dress and nobody under 21-years-old will be admitted. Valley Youth Center Safety Guidelines for Children

The Valley Youth Center will be open on Friday and parents must bring identification to pick up their child.

Happy New Year! The Valley Youth Center will be open on Friday, Jan. 4. Pick-up time will be at 6 p.m. Security will be stopping by and unnoticeable but on staff at the building and every Friday for the children's safety. Please fill out an emergency form if you haven't done so. No child will be released to a parents without appropriate identification. Please know that very strict safety guidelines have been in place for your child's safety and security for many years now. Our doors lock as soon as your children enter our building. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our President directly at 267-784-0278. We look forward to having another great year at the Center.

Valley Community Outreach Hosting 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk

The event will take place on Sunday, April 22.

The Valley Community Outreach program is proud to announce its third annual 5K run/walk, which will take place Sunday, April 22. Pre-race registration will take place from 7-7:50 a.m. The race will begins at 8 a.m. followed by an awards ceremony. The event will go on rain or shine. Valley Youth Center Hosting Fundraiser at Philmont Country Club

The Lower Moreland PTA will be raising money for post prom at the fifth annual 'Rock the Night Away' fundraiser on Fri., Jan. 20.

The Valley Youth Center and the Lower Moreland Post Prom Committee invite you to come jam with the Trevor Street Band and listen to the sounds of classical rock and blues at the fifth annual fundraiser on Fri., Jan. 20. The "Rock the Night Away" event - held at the Philmont Country Club - will help raise money to put towards post prom for current Lower Moreland students. This unique night provides kids an alternative to a late-night drive to the New Jersey shore or multiple home parties after the prom. The post prom is from 12 midnight - 3 a.m. and will have a DJ for entertainment. The fundraiser that will be held in two weeks will feature great food (Chicken Marsala, Penne Pasta, Salads, carved filet of beef, & desserts of fruit, cookies…

Valley Youth Center Opens Its Doors to the Kids

Last Friday the Valley Youth Center official re-opened with a special dedication ceremony to celebrate 14 years of community service.

Denise Kuritz can easily be described as a highly-energetic and motivated person. And, she’ll be the first to tell you what inspires her. “It’s all about the kids,” said Kuritz, a longtime Lower Moreland resident and president of the Valley Community Outreach Corp., which is more commonly known as the Valley Youth Center. Located in the lower level of the Huntingdon Valley library, the center has been at the hub of the Lower Moreland community since its doors opened in 1998. But, it’s more than a building, says Kuritz, “it’s the heart of the community.” The non-profit recreational center serves as a safe haven for children from Lower Moreland Township and Bryn Athyn Borough to meet with friends and classmates for recreational and social …
