Two Men Admit Beating Up Sunoco Employee Over Fake $100 Bill

Two 19-year-olds were given two-year probation sentences, a $300 fine and 36 hours of community service after pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Last May it was reported that a group of men entered the Valley Sunoco and got into a physical altercation with an employee after the employee figured out the men were trying to pass off a $100 counterfeit bill. One of the men attempted to pay for $30 worth of gas, but once the employee told the man the bill was fake, a shoving match ensued with another employee of Sunoco and the employee was hit in the face. The argument started when the customer asked for his $100 bill back, according to the criminal complaint. According to a Phillyburbs.com story, two of the men, both 19, pleaded guilty to simple assault last Friday in Montgomery County Court. THe employee technically stole the fake hundred dollars from those guys and wouldnt give it back what did he expect to happen. I know how these guys are who work in these places get. They act like they are better than everyone and want to be tough guys. the worker should have just wrote down the license plate descreitly and called the cops so he wouldnt have gotten beat up. Assault at Valley Sunoco Over Counterfeit $100

An employee was hit in the face after it was discovered that a customer tried to pass off a fake $100.

An assult was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Valley Sunoco in Huntingdon Valley after a customer struck an employee in the face. According to the employees, three white males walked in the gas station and attempted to pay for $30 worth of gas. One of the males presented a $100 bill to the cashier, who then discovered that the money was counterfeit. After the employee told the customer this news, a shoving match ensued with another employee of Sunoco where the employee was hit in the face. The argument started when the customer asked for his $100 bill back, but the employees refused to comply. Once the bill is in the gas station's possession, legally they cannot return it to the customer. Authorities have since picked up …
