Caregiver to Repay $9,000 to Lower Moreland Man's Estate
Kimberly Brown stole $9,603 from her client's bank account after using his debit card for clothing, groceries and gas for her car.
After making illegal purchases for clothing, groceries and gas for her car, a caregiver must repay $9,603 to her late client’s estate. Kimberly Brown, 30, entered an open plea in November to charges of theft by unlawful taking and unauthorized use of a debit card. Brown cared for Harry Weidler from Dec. 11 to June 4 while working for Senior Helpers. According to a Phillyburbs.com report, Brown received a five-year probation sentence. Weidler’s niece contacted the Lower Moreland Police Department in June after she saw suspicious transactions including $2,000 in withdrawals and over $1,100 in charges to Home Depot.
