Child Confronted Near Bus Has Parents Concerned

Lower Moreland School District sent a letter out to parents explaining a situation in which a young child was approached by an older man after he was dropped off after school.

Lower Moreland School District posted an Important Parent Notification Letter last Friday to inform parents of an incident involving a student at Pine Road Elementary School.  The letter stated that a child was approached by an older man in the driveway of her home after he was dropped off by the school bus in Justa Farms. The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. after a half-day at school. The bus driver saw the child step away from the man and decided to take action. The bus driver exited the bus and confronted the male who was described between 50 to 60 years old, black and gray hair and driving a dark, possibly, black sedan. The man said he knew the child, but the child told the bus driver she did not know who the man was. The bus …

I believe that is already a policy Vlad. The problem arises with buses that are crowded and the driver having to keep track of all the kids that are dropped off at the stops. It can get hectic with loud and excited children on a bus. This driver did a great job that day, but it could have very easily gone the other way.   more ›

How come the Garcia's family hasn't paid the school district yet? They keep mentioning that they are willing to pay back the school but haven't yet. This story and family does not add up and something is definitely shady. Also, how come there's no proof of them actually living at the residence? Why would the police township lie about them not living there? The truth will come out at the end.   more ›

Pine Road Nature Trail Clean Up Today

The nature trail at Pine Road will have wood chips spread to maintain the pathways.

The Pine Road Nature Trail was developed in 1999 by Joyce Pounds, a former teacher at Pine Road Elementary, in partnership with Project L.A.B.S. The nature trail remains a valuable resource available to us at Pine Road and the surrounding community. The clean-up will take place on Saturday, October 13 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon next to the new addition at Pine Road School. Our main goal is to spread woodchips on the trail to help maintain the pathways. Please bring any tools that may help us accomplish this goal. The most useful tools are rakes, wheelbarrows, shovels, and pitchforks. Make sure to label any personal items with your name. Gardening gloves and long pants are also a good idea since there is a chance of poison ivy in spaces between …
