Pathmark Location to Remain a Supermarket

There are four super market candidates vying for the 52,000 square-foot retail space.

The Pathmark in the Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley is expected to close by the end of this month or into the first week of March. This will leave a 52,000 square-foot empty retail space in the shopping center. New Century Associates, a long-time, family-run business, is the property owner of the Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley shopping center. According to the business’ owner, Stan Casacio, New Century Associates disagreed with A&P Tea Co.’s move to make it’s store a Pathmark, approximately five years ago. According to Casacio, prior to its conversion, the Pathmark was originally a SuperFresh. Local Shop Gives Customers Free Burgers for a Year

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries celebrated its grand opening in the Marketplace Shopping Center in Huntingdon Valley on Wednesday by giving the first 40 customers free hamburgers for a year.

In today’s economy, everybody likes something for free. So to kick off the grand opening of Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries, 2028 County Line Rd. in the Marketplace Shopping Center at Huntingdon Valley, the local shop ran a promotion to give away free burgers for a year to the first 40 customers in line Wednesday morning. The store opened at 11 a.m., but the line was already well around the corner about a 30-45 minutes before it was officially open for business. Local residents were lined up across from L.A Fitness and next to Rita’s Water Ice to try and get their free, eight-ounce patties for the next 365 days.
