Snowy conditions could make for a tough commute home today.

Another wintery mix is upon us and flurries continues to fall this morning. The show is beginning to stick to the roads as the morning progresses and could make for a messy commute. School buses made their local rounds to pick up students a few hours ago, however, traveling conditions are expected to get worse as the day moves on. Should Lower Moreland School District have early dismissal? It was a tough situation with the majority of the snowfall coming after the first bell of the school schedule. Board of Commissioners Holding Business Meeting Tonight

The Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners will meet at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the municipal building.

The Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners will meet for its monthly Business Meeting tonight at the municipal building. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. and any resident is invited to attend. Board of Commissioners to Consider Resignation of Township Manager

The Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners will hold a work session tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

The first item on the agenda deals with the resignation of the Township Manager and discussing the future plan of management in the township. The Board will hold its business meeting next week, on Wed., Dec. 19. Lower Moreland Ranks 7th on Top Area Public High School List

Philadelphia Magazine recently analyzed public high schools across the eight-county greater Philadelphia region and compiled a list of the area's top 100 schools.

Over the years the Lower Moreland School District has been honored with accolades celebrating its success and achievements. It's been awarded as a Blue-Ribbon winner in the past, and most recently came in ranked in the Top 10 for public area high schools. LM made Philadelphia Magazine's list of the top 100 public high schools in the area for 2012. It ranks 7th overall, and second in Montgomery County. The magazine's analysis included high schools in the eight-county Philadelphia area, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in New Jersey. LM Field Hockey Team Back in Action

The fall sports schedule is underway at Lower Moreland.

The Lower Moreland High School field hockey team will be back in action this week with a home scrimmage against Landsdale Catholic on Friday at 11 a.m. Coach Danielle Kline enters her second year with the team and will try to improve on last year's 6-9-1 record. LM Discusses Redevelopment of Philmont-Pine-Tomlinson Intersection

Engineers recently conducted a traffic study to help decide how to revamp the busy six-point intersection in Lower Moreland.

Everyone who lives in Lower Moreland has undoubtedly waited in long lines of traffic at the six-point intersection at Philmont Avenue, Pine Road and Tomlinson Road. It’s one of the most crowded intersections in town and local officials are looking into ways to reduce some of that congestion. Traffic engineers presented their results from the traffic study they conducted to the Board of Commissioners last week. What they came up with were some possible solutions to correcting the ever-growing traffic issue. The outcome was that approximately 900 cars travel eastbound in the morning, and 900 cars travel westbound during the evening rush hour. And that was just on Philmont Avenue.
