Lower Moreland Falls to New Hope-Solebury in Playoffs

The Lower Moreland girls basketball team lost to New Hope-Solebury 29-28 on Wednesday, February 29.

Playing as the third-seed in the District One Class AA semifinal, the Lower Moreland Lions varsity girls basketball team had its season come to a close at the hands of second-seeded New-Hope Solebury. In a game played at Upper Moreland High School, Allie Morganstein's last-second 3-pointer wouldn't fall as the Lions drew up their final play with 2.8 seconds left. Morganstein led all scorers 17 points in the 29-28 loss. “I love having the responsibility on the team to take control,” Morganstein said. “I actually asked coach in the fourth quarter and he gave me the green light to shoot any time. Dancing With Spanish Stars Set For Tuesday At Lower Moreland High School

Lower Moreland High School's Spanish Club will gold the 4th annual Dancing with the Spanish Stars event on Tuesday night.

WHERE: Lower Moreland High School auditorium, 555 Red Lion Road. WHEN: March 22 from 7-9 p.m. COST: $1 One day after the premiere of the ABC hit show’s 12th season, Lower Moreland High School will host its 4th annual Dancing with the Spanish Stars on Tuesday, March 22. The event, which was designed to bring Spanish culture to life for the school and local community, will feature student pairs performing tradition Latin dances. The student pairs will compete for the coveted disco ball. If you’re not one of the student dancers, however, you can still be involved in the fun as a judge.
