If at First You Don't Succeed: According to a report in the Pottstown Patch, a 22-year-old woman was cited three times in one day after she repeatedly panhandled for cigarettes outside of Redner's. The woman reportedly launched into profanity-laden tirades directed towards the store's manager as well as responding officers. When police declined the woman's request for money, she reportedly said that someone who "is working and making so much" should be able to give her money. Read the full story here. Sept. 17 – Theft Manor Care, 3450 Huntingdon Pike A woman called LMPD to report that someone removed her wallet from her purse while it was inside of Manor Health Care on Sept. 16 sometime between 7 a.m. and noon. She stated she hung her purse up at the nurse’s station in the morning and went about her work the rest of the day. When she went to her car to leave for the day, she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse. The following items were reported stolen: Sept. 14. – Public Drunkenness 2000 block of Huntingdon Pike A resident called LMPD to report a suspicious man who he believed was high on drugs standing on the corner of Huntingdon Pike and Welsh Road. The following is a press release from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General: Agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation have filed criminal charges against 25 individuals allegedly linked to the trafficking of prescription pills, cocaine and marijuana in the greater Philadelphia area, including at least three dealers accused of selling prescription pills on and around university campuses in the region. Attorney General Linda Kelly said the arrests are the result of an eight month long investigation involving drug trafficking in southeastern Pennsylvania.
