Two Men Attempt to Steal Car, Crash it into Neighbor's Fence

LMPD arrested two men who tried to steal a car that was parked in a resident's driveway.

A Huntingdon Valley resident called LMPD on Monday, Sept. 10 to report her car was being stolen from her driveway on the 2300 block of Boyd Road. She was sleeping but was awoken when she heard a loud noise coming from outside her house. When she looked out the window she saw her husband’s gold Toyota Highlander had been moved and crashed into their neighbors’ fence. She yelled from her bedroom window and at that time a young white male exited the car and ran between some trees towards Boyd Road. A neighbor across the street also saw the incident and began yelling towards the males. Police responded to the scene and observed a blue Mazda sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Police Log: Flat Screens Stolen After Forced Entry; Car Thefts

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

June 25 – Theft from Auto Barbara Schulz, 46, of Huntingdon Valley, reported that her unlocked 2010 Ford Fusion was entered and the actor removed all of the loose change and bills she had in a pull-out caddy to the left of the steering column. There was approximately $10-$15 taken. June 22 – Theft from Auto Kurt Souder, 27, of Huntingdon Valley, came into LMPD to report that someone had stolen $120 from his car while it was parked outside of his house. He discovered the front door of his Buick Lesabre was slightly opened and the money was taken from the pull-out ashtray. Souder said his car was parked on the street in front of his house and that it was locked. There have been numerous similar thefts in the Abington/Rockledge area, …
