Legendary Steelers Coach Chuck Noll Dead at 82

Noll led his team to four Super Bowl victories.

Chuck Noll, former Pittsburgh Steelers Coach who led his team to four Super Bowl victories, died Friday. He was 82.

No other coach has won as many Super Bowls.

Noll had been ill for years, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said, suffering from Alzheimer's, a heart condition and a bad back. He died Friday in his Sewickley home, the paper said.

Noll became the Steelers' coach in 1969; he retired in 1991.

His record was 209–156–1, including the post-season, the Post-Gazette said.
