HVAA Offers Basketball Clinics for Special Needs Children

Special needs children can now register for basketball clinics where they will be paired with a buddy to assist them in participating.

Providing all kids with equal opportunities is an essential part of life. That is why the Huntingdon Valley Athletic Association is proud to announce it will offer a free basketball clinic to kids with special needs.

"These clinics are intended to provide a safe, successful and enjoyable experience for all," HVAA reprentative said. "They aim to provide an opportunity to participate in a recreational program and experience the atmosphere where the emphasis is on building friendship, confidence and self-esteem." 

The goal of this program is introduce the fun of playing basketball and to give everyone a chance to play; regardless of limitation. 

Children will be paired with a “buddy” to assist in participating in basketball activities.
