Taxes Increasing 2.98 Percent in Lower Moreland School District

Lower Moreland School District, under an exception from the Department of Education, is passed its final budget with a 2.98 percent tax increase.

According to a report in the Glenside News and Globe TImes Chronicle, for the average township home assessed at $210,000, it is approximately a $224 increase. People with the "Homestead and Farmstead Exclusion" will increase an additional $36 with or without raising taxes due to the decrease in gambling revenue that the district receives.
