Lower Moreland 2013 Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Nancy Deibert, Dr. Jennifer Cohen Kogan, Tejas Nerurka, Katie Walder, Jennie Yoo will be honored at a dinner on April 5 at Philmont Country Club.

Lower Moreland has always prided itself on its schooling system and the quality education children and young adults get from its teachers and the curriculum. Over the years Lower Moreland School District has had many graduates become successful in many walks of life.

In 1995, the School District decided to honor those graduates by starting its own Hall of Fame. These honorees are remembered forever on the Hall of Fame Wall in the high school auditorium lobby. They are presented with a plaque and picture that is hung with all of the other recipients.

Those honored in previous years include Superintendent Dr. David Archibald, professional singer and soloist Ms. Rachel Elfont Cole, U.S. Attorney for Maryland Rod Rosenstein, KYW News Reporter John Ostapkovich, Hollywood screenwriter Harry Elfont  and many more.

Five more members will be inducted at the Class of 2013 Induction Dinner at the Philmont Country Club on Friday, April 5. The inductees are:

Anne Marie (Nancy) Inacker Philanthropist and Community Volunteer '77 Dr. Jennifer Cohen Kogan Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of PA '87 Tejas Nerurka Founder and CEO of Optimum Output '98 Katie Walder Actress, Writer, Producer '94 Jennie Yoo Creater of the Jenny Yoo Collection of bridal designs '94

In total, the LM Hall of Fame is nearing 100 members since it started in 1995. It honors graduates who have excelled in their chosen careers, community service or personal accomplishments. Also eligible for inclusion are those who are not  alumni but who have contributed significantly to the Lower Moreland Township School District.
