Lions Still in Running for District 1 Championship
After a loss to Morrisville, the Lions will take on New Hope tonight for a shot at the district title.
After a hard fought game against Morrisville, the Lower Moreland Lions football team finds itself in a great spot. October 27 the Lions fell to Morrisville 25-14 and it gave the shot of a B.A.L league title virtually impossible. But when one door closes, another one opens.
Tonight, the Lower Moreland Lions will be taking on New Hope-Solebury High School for the District 1 Championship. It is odd that the Lions will not be able to win their league, but compete for a district championship, but it is happening.
The team is ecstatic, and Defensive End/ Offensive Lineman Anthony Morales had to say this about the upcoming game

“We (Lower Moreland) are extremely excited for this game because it means a lot to us, especially to our seniors that get a second chance at putting up a banner. We are working extremely hard in practice pushing ourselves as much as we can to be ready to take it to new hope.”
So tonight the Lions will take on New Hope at 7:30 p.m. in New Hope. As much fan support as possible will be needed at this game to provide moral support for the Lions. Make the trip up to New Hope and you may see the Lions first district championship since 2009.
