School Board Agenda: Improve Sports Fields, ADA Accessible Route, More

The Lower Moreland School Board will hold its public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Pine Road.

There are a number of items on the agenda for Wednesday night's Lower Moreland School Board meeting. One entry to be voted on is finding a Civil Engineering firm that will provide a land survey to help improve the athletic fields at the High School and Murray Avenue.

The School Board will also recommend the approval to pay Breslin Ridyard Fadero Architects $9,375 to design an accessible ADA route from the parking area behind the Murray Avenue Middle School to the junior varsity baseball field. This access route will also serve the football stadium.

  • National Honor Society will hold a Charity Car Wash on Sept. 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the High School parking lot.
  • First Baptist Church of Huntingdon Valley to hold a flea market on Oct. 6 in the Murray Avenue School parking lot from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30pm.

Recommend approval of an agreement between Lower Moreland Township School District and Quinn Developmental Services to provide consultative behavioral supports for 18 hours per week for 4 weeks at a cost of $5,400 and for 9 hours per week for 32 weeks at a cost of $21,600 for a total of $27,000 for the 2012-2013 school year.
