PHOTOS: Early Voting Turnout in Lower Moreland

The polls opened at 7 a.m. and some lines were out the door this morning.

Lower Moreland residents are turning out in large numbers to the polls early Tuesday morning. Lines were out the door at some polling locations in the township and other officials and volunteers and have stated they are impressed with the early showing.

Howard Rovner said, "this is the longest I've seen the lines in a long, long time."

In Ward 5, at the Huntingdon Valley Methodist Church, there were already 250 votes cast and another 50 or so people waiting in line by 9 a.m.

At the High School (Ward 6), there was 142 votes accounted for by 8:45 a.m.

One Patch user said he waited 20 minutes in line at the High School and then had to leave because it was taking too long and will try later.
