Lower Moreland Commissioners Reduce Meetings to Once a Month

The Lower Moreland Commissioners will only meet on the second Tuesday of the month.

Lower Moreland Commissioners voted to approved only meeting one night a month rather the two, with a option to meet on a second night, according to a report on the Glenside News and Globe Times Chronicle.

The Commissioners will now hold their work session and voting meeting during a combined meeting on the second Tuesday of the month, but will keep the third Wednesday as a possibility for additional topics of discussion that do not fit into one evening.

Reducing meeting nights will save the township "$5,500 a year through a combination of cuts in consultant costs, staff pay and building expenditures."
