Help an Elderly Montco Resident, be an Ombudsman

Montgomery County Aging and Adults Services will hold a Volunteer Ombudsman Information Open House, Sept. 6.

The word ombudsman may be difficult to say quickly three times, but it is music to the ears of some of Montgomery County’s most vulnerable residents – the elderly.

Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services sponsors a Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program under which volunteer ombudsmen visit residents of nursing homes, personal care homes and assisted living facilities in the county and make residents aware of their rights, assist them in resolving concerns and problems and helping to ensure their quality of life and care is maximized.

If you want to make a difference in the life of older Montgomery County residents join a team that truly makes a difference.
