A 54-year-old Philadelphia woman is facing charges stemming from a one-vehicle crash in Lower Moreland Township, according to police.
Police are awaiting National Medical Services lab results prior to charging Elizabeth Dmitriev, of Rennard Street in Philadelphia with Driving Under the Influence. No injuries resulted from the crash, police said.
The crash occurred on Sept. 1 near Huntingdon Pike just into the entrance to the Bethayres Shopping Center, according to the police report. Police said Dmitriev's Nissan Rogue was resting against the fence that separates the shopping center and the Elkins Park Field and sustained minor damage, according to the report.
Police said Dmitriev appeared to be "confused and carefree" and admitted to taking pain medication for a past knee injury.
A prescription bottle containing three Oxycontin pills was retrieved, according to police.
