Woman Charged in Hit and Run

A Souderton woman, who Lower Moreland Police said was driving with a suspended driver's license, allegedly left the scene of a crash.

A 27-year-old Souderton woman has been charged with various traffic offenses stemming from an alleged hit and run on July 16. 

Tana M. Ziegler, of West Reliance Road in Souderton, allegedly rear-ended a vehicle as it attempted to turn right into the Shell Station at 2035 Huntingdon Pike in Lower Moreland and fled the scene.

The driver of the struck vehicle relayed the license plate number to police following the 5:44 p.m. crash and police traced the vehicle to Ziegler’s address.

Ziegler, who police said was driving with a suspended driver’s license, was cited for driving with a suspended license, careless driving, following too closely and failure to give information and render aid.
