Visitor Asked to Leave Manor Care for his Behavior

The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On Sept. 18, the Lower Moreland Police Department received a call from the manager at Manor Care to report a disturbance. She told police that Joseph Katz, 56, of Philadelphia was at the facility to visit his significant other.

While visiting, Katz was reported as being aggressive with the staff and directing vulgar language towards them. Katz was apparently upset at the care his significant other was receiving at Manor Care. The patient is non-verbal and could not be interviewed by police.

The manager and another employee report that Katz smells like alcohol when he visits and frequently uses profanity with the staff. Manor Care did not want to pursue charges for harassment, but they indicated to police that they no longer want Katz on the premises and want him charged with trespassing the next time he shows up there.
