Three Reports of Suspicious Persons, Police Say

Lower Moreland Police responded to two reports of suspicious persons in area neighborhoods within a week.

On July 7, a report at 9:41 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Packard Avenue and Ginger Road. A black Honda sedan, described in the police reports as possibly an Accord or Civic, driving slowly, heading south on Packard Avenue from Welsh Road with two or three males inside.

The men were described as Hispanic or African American, possibly in their 20s, according to the police report, and wearing baseball caps and talking on "walkie-talkies."

On July 13, at 9:27 a.m., a resident reported seeing two suspicious individuals in a silver Chysler sedan on the northbound side of Byron Road and Lawrence Road.

According to the report, both men were described as in their 20s, and one was described as darker skinned, possibly Hispanic. They were both seen wearing shorts and t-shirts and carrying cell-phones.

According to the police, the two men were seen walking around two homes on Lawrence and then saw a resident watching them and they returned to the vehicle.

On July 1, Lower Moreland Police also encountered three men in the area of Sunflower Way and Clover Road who were suspected to be actively casing a home.

All areas were checked by police after the report with negative results.
