Suspicious Vehicle in Lower Moreland May Have Been Casing Homes, Police Say

Officers found three men with extensive criminal histories in a vehicle on Sunflower Way near Clover Road; the men allegedly could not explain why they were in the area.

A suspicious vehicle in the township last week may have been casing homes for potential burglaries, according to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department.

Around 2:40 p.m. on July 1, a Lower Moreland Township police officer stopped a light blue Honda Odyssey minivan with New Jersey inspection stickers and a Pennsylvania registration plate traveling West on Sunflower Way near Clover Road, according to police.

The vehicle’s three occupants were unable to provide a reason for being in the neighborhood, and a police scanner was located inside the vehicle, police said.
