Police Seek Truck Battery Thief

Vehicles parked at or near Arnold's Towing were 'lightly ransacked,' according to Lower Moreland Police.

Six truck batteries were stolen from Arnold’s Towing parking lot area recently, according to Lower Moreland Police.

The old batteries, which contain lead, were planned to be recycled at Sullivan’s Scrap Metals in Hatboro, according to the police report. But, before that could happen, police said someone stole the batteries from the area near the rear garage bays of the business, which is located at 3875 Heaton Road in Huntingdon Valley.

The business owner, who contacted police on Friday, said he usually receives $10 for each battery recycled, according to the report.
