Police Offering $2,500 Reward for Info on Lower Moreland Armed Robbery

The Lower Moreland Police Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office are looking for Michael Bivans after an armed robbery in Huntingdon Valley.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Lower Moreland Township Police Chief Peter C. Hasson are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the perpetrators of a home invasion robbery in Huntingdon Valley. On May 19, 2012, two men entered a home on Heaton Hill Lane in Huntingdon Valley and held occupants at gun point. Women and children were at the residence at the time of the home invasion.

Through video surveillance and forensic evidence, one of the perpetrators has been identified as 23-year-old Michael Bivans.

Police say the man should be considered to armed and dangerous. If you have any information, call the anonymous tip line at (215) 546-TIPS.

According to the original incident report from the Lower Moreland Police Department, two men approached the home as deliverymen, one man held up a gun and asked for a safe when the homeowner opened the door. When the homeowner said there was no safe, the two men ran off the property.
