Neighborhood Defaced by Homophobic Slurs

Graffiti was sprayed on numerous properties along Levy Lane in Albidale 2.

The Lower Moreland Police Department received numerous calls from residents who indicated their property had been sprayed by graffiti. The Police Department reported that there were nine separate incidents called in with similar findings. Most of the black spray paint was used to defile property and use homophobic slurs, and every offense occurred on Levy Lane in Albidale 2.

According to the report, the following properties were vandalized:

  • “QUEER” sprayed on a mailbox
  • “FAG” sprayed on a basketball backboard
  • “QUEER” sprayed on a skate ramp
  • BMW X5 license paints sprayed over in black
  • Sidewalk in front of a house had the word “penis” sprayed on
  • “FAG” sprayed on a mailbox post
  • Sidewalk had vulgar graphic sprayed in front of house
  • Hundai Sonata license plate sprayed over in black
  • 2 Fire Hydrants sprayed with black paint
  • “Fag” spray painted on another mailbox
  • 2 Stop Signs had “S” sprayed over them
  • Watch Children Sign had “NARC” sprayed on it
  • 2 Stop Signs had the word “STOP” painted over in black
  • Speed limit signs had numbers painted over in black

The residents who reported the incidents also told police who they think caused the damage. Multiple people submitted information to the police on who they think did it, and LMPD is currently has this issue under investigation.
