Multiple Cars Set Ablaze in Act of Arson

Detectives were on the scene after a set of cars were set fire to in a parking lot.

A witness called LMPD on Nov. 11 after he saw several cars on fire in the parking lot of 7 Motors Inc., 3021 Franks Rd. in Huntingdon Valley. He was working at his shop nearby when he heard popping noises outside and saw an orange glow through his window. The Lower Moreland Police Department along with the Philadelphia and Huntingdon Valley fire companies responded to the scene. Several cars were fully enflamed when police arrived, and two employees inside the building said they had no idea there was a fire until police knocked on the door.

Detectives from LM, Montgomery County, PA Police fire investigator and LM Fire Marshal were all on scene. The owner of 7 Motors Inc. arrived to see five of his cars on fire. The owner of Elite Collision also had two of his cars damaged.

All of the burned cars were salvaged vehicles and were severely damaged before the fire. The cars were reportedly worth between $1,000 to $3,000.
