Cops: Former Centennial Bus Driver Touched, Watched Porn With Young Boys

Fred Brimmer had contact with boys as young as 8, police said; he has been remanded to prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.

A former Upper Southampton bus driver and Boy Scout leader has been charged with having inappropriate contact with two young boys, police said.

Fred Brimmer, 60, of the 1200 block of Valley Hill Trail in Southampton, is charged with indecent assault with a person less than 13 years of age, corruption of minors  and two counts of unlawful contact with minor, Upper Southampton Township Police said.

The victim whom police are calling Juvenile A was 8 years old at the time of the assault. Police said Brimmer touched the boy's penis and buttocks while the boy was a guest in Brimmer's home in October.

The second victim, Juvenile B, was 12 and 13 years old when police said he  "was educated in masturbation and pornography while a guest at Brimmer’s home." Those incidents occurred in 2010 and 2011, police said.

Brimmer admitted to police that he was sexually stimulated by these interactions, Upper Southampton Police said.

Brimmer was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Until the time of these allegations in October, Brimmer had been employed for 43 years as a bus driver with with the Centennial School District.

He was a member of the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad and Upper Southampton Days Committee. Brimmer was a lifelong member of Boy Scout Troop #28, acting as a leader until 1996.

Police said Brimmer met Juvenile A through a relative and Juvenile B through Scouts.

Anyone with information about Brimmer or who may have been a victim is asked to contact Det. James Schirmer at 215-364-5000, ext. 115, or  jschirmer@ustwp.org.

Editor's Note: This story has been revised. An earlier version misstated Brimmer's affiliation with Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Southhampton. He was not a member.
