Burglar Steals Over $3,000 Worth of Items During Break-in, Police Say

An Albidale resident reported that jewelry, a laptop computer and a bottle of prescription pills were taken from her home.

A Huntingdon Valley resident contacted the Lower Moreland Police Department on Feb. 19 to report a burglary after she noticed items were missing from her bedroom on the 900 block of Thrush Lane. The resident said she went to work at 7:30 a.m. and when she returned home at 6:30 p.m., she saw the basement window had been slid open and appeared to be the point of entry. The rear door was also unlocked.

The homeowner said she had a couple of suspects in mind since people have seen her son come in through the basement window when he locks himself out on occasion. She provided those names to the police.

The suspect entered the master bedroom and her daughter’s bedroom. The suspect went through a jewelry box and took a bottle of Adderall that was located at the dresser. Other jewelry and a white HP laptop were also taken from the home.
