Huntingdon Valley Student Matriculates With Wilkes University

Wilkes University would like to welcome Taylor Hoffmann of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., to the Class of 2017. Hoffmann is one of 617 incoming freshmen students. This is the third time in Wilkes history that the University has welcomed a class of over 600 students.

The new class, the 80th freshman class which the University has welcomed, includes students from 14 different states and 20 international students. This will be the first class that will use the new Larry and Sally Cohen Science Center for all four of their years at the University. The Cohen Science Center is a state-of-the-art facility in which students in biology, chemistry and earth and environmental science will attend classes, conduct research and collaborate across multiple scientific disciplines. Students in other majors taking laboratory science also will use the building. Other new facilities for the 2013-2014 year include a new nursing simulation center and renovations to the Munson Fieldhouse.
