Deer Stands Tampered With Behind Post Office, Resident Says

A man who hunts deer behind the Huntingdon Valley Post Office told police someone had cut the locks off his deer stands.

A Huntingdon Valley resident called the Lower Moreland Police Department to report that several of his deer stands had been tampered with. A deer stand is a platform secured to a tree to give a hunter a higher vantage point.

According to the report, the resident has permission from the property owners (Lenape Properties Management) to hunt deer on the property behind the Huntingdon Valley Post Office.

The man reported that the cable locks that hold his deer stands to the tree were cut off. A total of five deer stands were tampered with and 25 locks were cut. Two stands were damaged beyond repair, according to the report.
