Township Issues Statement on Noisy Construction Work

The following note was posted on the Lower Moreland Township web site:

In conjunction with a water main replacement project on County Line Road, a construction project to develop a much-needed community multisport field is also underway adjacent to Lower Moreland High School. Due to the water main replacement project being scheduled overnight to avoid closing County Line Road during heavy traffic hours, the field construction project is also an overnight work zone as it relies on receiving dirt from the water main replacement project. The majority of overnight construction noise will be during a seven-week period and while the inconvenience to residents is recognized, the work is temporary and will provide a long term benefit for the community. Every effort will be made to manage noise and reduce the temporary impact on neighboring properties without negatively impacting work zone safety.
