LM Grad Featured on 'Today' Show for Startup Business

A Lower Moreland alum was featured on NBC for her business venture Hukkster.com

Erica Bell (Greenberg), who graduated from Lower Moreland High School in 2002, was featured on NBC's Today Show last week for her new "dot-com" company.

Bell and her partner Katie Finnegan came up with the idea for Hukkster.com, a shopping platform that tracks products online and lets customers know when those products they want go on sale. The Winklevoss Twins (most notably from Facebook and the movie The Social Network) recently invested $750,000 in the company.

The web site describes the Hukkster process as:

Rather than seeing your inbox get flooded with daily deals and Groupons you didn't want, Hukkster will notify you about products you've already selected and pulls the deals only you want. Over 400 retailers are already associated with Hukkster.

In its brief history the company already has more than 10,000 users and has worked with Bloomingdale's and J.C. Crew among others.
