JCC Klein Honors Recent Retiree

Marcia Gross is retiring after 20 years as project director for the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

Last year some 900 RSVP volunteers dedicated 45,000 hours of service to 95 non-profit agencies. They cooked and delivered 40,000 meals for homebound elders, tutored students in elementary schools, educated visitors to Philadelphia museums and historic sites, comforted frail and elderly residents in nursing homes, educated the community about key environmental issues, taught English and citizenship to immigrants and more. The RSVP Program is federally funded through the Corporation for National Community Service and additionally receives funding from the Philadelphia Corporation For Aging and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. RSVP Philadelphia is sponsored by the Klein JCC and is located there at 10100 Jamison Avenue in the Northeast section.
