Huntingdon Valley Library Hosts Old York Road Historical Society

The Old York Road Historical Society will present 'Travels through Eastern Montgomery County: A Postcard tour circa 1910.'

The Huntingdon Valley Library, located at 625 Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley, will host the Old York Road Historical Society on Saturday, from 2 – 4 p.m.

The historical society will give a presentation titled, “Travels through Eastern Montgomery County: A Postcard tour circa 1910.”

The event will take the form of a Powerpoint slide-show presentation featuring old postcards from three major Pikes in the area, including Hutingdon Valley Pike.

According to the historical society’s website, the Old York Road Historical Society was founded in 1936 to study and preserve the history and folklore of the communities along and adjacent to Old York Road from Philadelphia to New Hope.
