From there, she appeared in one episode of Law & Order before obtaining a reoccurring role on Gilmore Girls. She played roommate Janet Billings in eight episodes. She got the part just months after moving out to Los Angeles.

“Lower Moreland really set me up for college and my career,” Walder said. “I did all the high school musicals and the plays and was encouraged by the teachers and guidance counselors.”

Walder attended Ithaca University where she majored in theater. She then moved to New York and started by waiting tables.

“I just want to encourage everyone to follow their dreams because anything is possible. And I’m living proof,” Walder said.

Walder has also appeared on shows Cold Case, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, How I Met Your Mother, Saving Grace, Rules of Engagement, The Mentalist and more.
