Bridge Inspections Set for I-95; Expect Delays

The inspections will run from Dec. 9 to 12.

The following was provided to Patch:

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that the right lane will be closed next week on northbound Interstate 95 between the Island Avenue and Broad Street exits in Philadelphia on Monday through Thursday (Dec. 9-12) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a series of bridge inspections.

I-95 motorists are advised to allow more time for travel in areas where bridge inspections are taking place because slowdowns will occur.

The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect all state bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and condition of the bridges.
