The Valley Youth Center will be having its annual Halloween Party on Friday, October 25 from 7 - 10 PM. 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are welcome and will enjoy the ghoulish games and freaky fun. There will be a DJ in the Red Lion Gym. If you know where the HVAA gym is located, then you know where the Valley Youth Center is located. It is right next door. The parking lot is behind the Huntingdon Valley Library. The $20 charge includes pizza, hot dogs, tenders, snow cones, finger foods, veggies, salad, and other snacks and beverages. There is a costume contest, but costumes are optional.
It is an exciting event for the kids with lots of parent volunteers to supervise the children. The Valley Youth Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The Center was opened after the tragic death of Eddie Polec on the steps of St. Cecilia's in Fox Chase. The Center has many adult volunteers from the community and mentors high school volunteers as well. The Center is a great place for the community to come together as a community.
