Rep. Allyson Schwartz to Speak at DNC, Watch on C-SPAN

Rep. Allyson Schwartz' speech will be nationally broadcast.

Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (D-13) will address the Democratic National Convention tonight, after being selected to the convention's speaker list.

In an e-mail to supporters, Rep. Schwartz said that she will speak during the 7 pm hour. The address will be nationally broadcast live on C-SPAN, and will also be viewable online through c-span.com's live streaming coverage.

Although there is no word on what Rep. Schwartz plans to say, the fourth-term congresswoman is part of a lineup of female politicians that includes minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Schwartz represents voters in Abington, Upper Dublin, Lansdale, Montgomery, Springfield, Plymouth, Whitemarsh, Conshohocken, Ambler, Whitpain, Lower Merion, and Upper and Lower Moreland townships as part of the 13th district.

She faces a challenge from Republican Joe Rooney this fall.

Take a good look....the invisible Allyson Schwartz will actually appear on TV. Wonder if she'll come late and leave early again. This is the Congresswoman who didn't have the courage to face her constituents in 2010 when so many of her colleagues heard the other side of the bill that so many of her fellow members failed to read before they voted on it.

I'm not a fan of Allyson either. She's sooo pro-abortion it's just nauseating.

But John, that was so long ago! Hopefully enough voters remember - I tend to doubt it with the Philly support. Did she EVER read the bill?
