Despite an average 3-cent drop in gas prices nationally, locally, prices rose about 2 cents from last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.
In the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.929 per gallon, which is up 1.6 cents from a week ago, 10 cents higher than a month ago and 39.6 cents higher than a year ago.
The report does state that crude oil prices continue to fall as we move into the colder weather. Crude oil, what gasoline is made from, dropped from a $99 a barrel high in September, to below $90 a barrel last week.
Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.89 at the Sunoco at 2883 Philmont Ave.
