Family's Christmas Lights Attract Hundreds

Tony Valenza's home along Terwood Road is transformed into a Holiday light show that attracts hundreds of visitors both near and far.

Starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the home of Tony Valenza becomes a pilgramage site for hundreds of holiday light seekers, many of who return year after year.

Visitors can park their vehichles along Brendan Circle, at the intersection of Terwood Road in Upper Moreland, where they are free to explore the hundreds of decorations and over 100,000 lights adorning the Valenza residence.

According to Valenza, the hardest part of the decorating process is actually testing all of the decorations and lights before the set up. He said it takes approximately 20 of his family and friends to decorate his home, which starts in October.

Although he has never counted how many visitors he hosts every year, he does say that the family has gone through over 1,000 candy canes so far this season, which are left for visitors in the giant M&M decoration at the front of his house.
